We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Landscape Services team. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties — from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining school sports fields. What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming, and sports field upkeep
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices
- Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any issues
- Using equipment and materials safely, following best practices
- Delivering excellent customer service and representing Landscape Services professionally
- Liaising with clients to address any concerns and resolve on-site issues
- Supporting additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas, when required
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role
- Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures
- Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment
- Basic machinery maintenance skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A self-motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel to and from Tonbridge for work
- A Full (Clean) Driving Licence
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (carried out by us)
