Site Operatives are valued members of our recycling centre team, helping keep sites safe, tidy and welcoming for the public. Their work supports people to recycle correctly and help protect the environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and being part of a team. It is ideal for people who prefer active, outdoor roles and clear tasks.

What you’ll be doing:
- Keeping the site clean, safe and organised.
- Helping customers unload waste and use the correct recycling areas.
- Managing vehicle and pedestrian movement to keep everyone safe.
- Checking waste and identifying items that need special handling.
- Monitoring containers and reporting when they need emptying.
- Using simple handheld devices for bookings and payments.
- Following health and safety rules at all times.
- Wearing body-worn cameras when required.
- Working as part of a friendly, supportive team.
- Supporting at our other locations in Kent, when required.
- Weekend working.
What we’re looking for:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable doing physical, outdoor work.
- Happy to speak to and help members of the public.
- Able to follow instructions and safety rules.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Experience in manual, site-based, cleaning, construction, driving or customer-facing work is welcomed but not essential.
- Driving licence preferred, but not essential.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
What you’ll get in return:
- Salary of £10,169.19 per annum.
- 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years (Pro rata for 14.5 hours per week).
