We’re looking for a Service Verification and Testing Officer to join Cantium Business Solutions (Part of Commercial Services Group). This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in validating and testing innovative IT services that support organisations across the public sector.

As part of Cantium’s Transition team, The Service Verification and Testing Officer will ensure new services are robust, reliable and meet agreed business requirements before they go live. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the high standards Cantium is known for in delivering quality, customer‑led IT solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute structured test plans, scripts and scenarios for service components.
- Validate and verify that new services meet defined acceptance and performance criteria.
- Identify and report risks, issues or defects throughout the Service Transition process.
- Ensure all testing is completed according to established processes and timeframes.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve testing‑related issues.
- Provide quality assurance for service releases and components.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
- Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of risk management and customer service techniques.
- Any other duties consistent in nature with those outlined above.
What we’re looking for
- Educated to Level 3 or equivalent, ideally with or working towards a recognised IT qualification.
- Experience in IT service testing, validation or transition processes (desirable).
- Understanding of computers, infrastructure and the ITIL service lifecycle.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
- Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of risk management and customer service techniques.
- Able to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
