Location: Kings Hill / Hybrid

Salary/package: £25,948.96 per annum (FTE)

Contract type: Fixed Term for up to 12 months

Hours: Part time, 24.5 hours per week

As an HR & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role within the HR Delivery Team, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, pensions and HR services to a diverse customer base. Why this role matters

As an HR & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Delivery Team to meet employer obligations under the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme. Your responsibilities ensure accurate employee payments, meticulous record keeping and exceptional customer service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prepare, update and process payroll, pensions and HR data in line with regulations and standards.
  • Provide first-line support via phone, email and live chat, resolving queries promptly or escalating as needed.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, employment checks, and contractual requirements to provide compliant advice.
  • Implement and review office systems and practices, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
  • Plan and organise your workload to meet deadlines and support multi-disciplinary working.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ensure performance targets and service standards are consistently met.
  • Complete mandatory training and uphold cyber security and data protection responsibilities.

  • Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel and Word.
