Salary/package: £33,000 per annum

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 39 hours per week

Due to the nature of the work being carried out, the successful candidate will need to have a Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be carried out by the company.

Landscape Services are looking for a dedicated and well organised Mobile Fitter to join their team. This is a role where technical judgement and independent problem‑solving are essential, with responsibility for diagnosing faults, completing repairs and supporting operational teams with expert advice.

The Mobile Fitter will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and availability of plant and equipment across multiple operational sites, ensuring downtime is minimised and repairs are completed efficiently.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing planned maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and operational.
  • Supporting breakdown response to deliver timely repairs and minimise downtime.
  • Working closely with workshop, stores and procurement teams to coordinate parts and materials.
  • Building effective relationships with site managers and operational teams.
  • Preparing accurate electronic records to support decision making and future maintenance planning.
  • Assessing equipment on customer and company sites to determine repair requirements.
  • Providing clear technical updates and recommendations to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in plant fitting, agricultural engineering, mobile engineering, HGV maintenance or similar mechanical roles.
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • The ability to work independently in a field‑based environment and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Competence using mobile devices and electronic maintenance systems.
