We have a fantastic opportunity for a Web & Optimisation Developer to join our team at Lands’ End Europe in Oakham, Rutland. The Web and Optimisation Developer will be responsible for the technical creation and implementation of Digital Campaigns and content across all 3 countries, using HTML, CSS and JS in collaboration with wider teams. Drive innovation of the customer experience across multiple devices and support setting up of experiences through testing based on business goals. Continually improve internal Production processes to drive efficiency and agility.
Please note this role is hybrid and will require 9 days a month in the Rutland office as well as local and market store visits.
Key Deliverables from the Role:- Technical development, coding and deployment of Website Digital Merchandising and Brand campaigns across the Website, working closely with the input from Digital Merchandising, Creative and Marketing teams.
- Technical development, coding, and deployment of projects to update or rebuild/refresh the website sections as required by business needs.
- Support Optimization of site through Testing with tools available to enhance site experience and drive conversion.
- Technical Publishing of website banners daily for advertising campaigns.
- Optimization of HTML/CSS/JavaScript frameworks & templates to deliver engaging content as fast as possible.
- Drive ongoing improvements to the onsite content experience across mobile and desktop.
- Develop solutions to improve website speed performance which are not dependent on US development.
- Reporting & resolving website functionality issues with US IT development which require collaboration on a technical basis, frequently not related to front- but to backend.
- Provide Quality assurance of the web content.
- Documentation of code snippets, coding workflows and key processes.
- Proven experience with advanced QA best practice methodologies.
- Strong front-end development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Design.
- Hands-on experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A demonstrated passion for digital technology, with a deep understanding of usability and user experience.
- An innovative and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to propose and implement practical solutions.
- Solid grasp of digital best practices and optimization strategies.
- Fluent English speaker – German or French fluency is a strong plus.
- Experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Trello and familiarity with Figma for design collaboration and handoff.
