The Analytics Manager is a new role in our growing Europe Analytics Team, which sits within a wider European team based in Oakham, Rutland and Mettlach, Germany. This role is responsible for leading a team of analysts to power data driven decision making, drive efficiency and elevate customer understanding across the business. You will manage a combination of insight service provision and data product building to drive efficiency across the business and power intelligent decision making.

Hands-on analysis of customer, sales and product data using a variety of technical tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI etc.). Continuously enhance our understanding of our customers through examining customer behaviour data, spotting emerging trends and market influences.

Build sophisticated data products to enable quicker, smarter decision making and ensure we have ongoing solutions to business challenges. Collaborate with IT to develop the quality and variety of data assets to improve decision-making and speed-to-market.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a numerate subject
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python etc.)
  • Ability to tell compelling stories using data and analytics, to influence decision making at different levels of the business.
  • Fluent English Language skills both spoken and written.
  • Ability and drive to champion the adoption of a data-driven, fact-based culture across the EU business.
  • Solid commercial acumen relevant to an online retail business.
  • Enthusiastic and creative, always looking for innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Knowledge / experience with at least 1 programming language (Python preferred).
  • Experience working in a cloud-based data platform (AWS/Azure etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience working with digital/web analytics data & tools (Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics).
  • Significant knowledge of both digital and direct marketing techniques (to include CRM response modeling and paid media optimisation).
  • Experience analysing customer purchasing behaviour to inform stock planning and segmentation.
