Role Description
The Metal Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position based at Landon Engineering’s facilities in Staffordshire.
The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating heavy and precision-engineered metal structures, interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling components to exact specifications.
Day-to-day tasks include operating metalworking machinery and hand tools, performing grinding and finishing operations, and using power tools to prepare and complete welded or bolted assemblies.
The role also involves working closely with engineers and other fabricators to maintain production schedules, following health and safety procedures, and supporting quality checks to ensure all work meets industry standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong metalworking skills, including experience with fabrication of heavy and precision-engineered structures.
- Candidates should be proficient in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
- Candidates should have experience with grinding and finishing processes to achieve accurate dimensions and surface quality.
