We are looking for a skilled and practical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Landmark Forest Adventure Park. This full-time, year-round role involves maintaining our attractions, machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds. You will bring a strong understanding of maintenance work, with the ability to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and complete detailed inspections.

JOB TITLE:

- Maintenance Senior Supervisor
RATE OF PAY:
- £15.15 per hour, plus the Annual Bonus Scheme and other great benefits
TYPE OF ROLE:
- 40 hours per week, working five days out of seven. Weekend working required.

Main Duties
- Maintain the park’s attractions, machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds to a high standard.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
- Repair and replace electrical installations, fittings and components within your training, competence and authorisation.
- Complete daily checks and more detailed weekly and monthly inspections in accordance with our planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Assist with annual inspections, servicing and maintenance work.
- Identify defects, record findings accurately and report issues requiring further attention.
- Carry out routine fire safety checks and tests, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire doors and visual checks of extinguishers.
- Undertake practical maintenance work, including carpentry, decorating, plumbing and general building repairs.
- Assist with the construction and installation of new attractions, equipment and buildings.
- Keep tools, machinery and maintenance equipment safe, serviceable and well organised.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and completed maintenance.
- Follow safe working procedures and comply with the park’s health and safety requirements.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, litter picking, restroom servicing and winter duties, including snow clearing and gritting.
- Support the wider team with other reasonable duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, technical or relevant trade role.
- A strong practical understanding of maintenance tasks and the ability to work independently.
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault-finding and repair.
- Practical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating and building maintenance.
- Experience carrying out planned maintenance and detailed equipment inspections.
- An understanding of routine fire safety checks and the importance of accurate records.
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
- The ability to read and follow technical manuals, maintenance instructions and safe working procedures.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work.
- Computer skills sufficient to complete maintenance records and use digital inspection systems.
- Clear communication skills and a helpful, professional approach towards colleagues and visitors.
- The ability to recognise when work requires a specialist or further technical support.
Relevant trade or technical qualifications would be an advantage. Applicants should already have a solid foundation of maintenance knowledge and practical experience; training will be provided on the park’s specific attractions, equipment and procedures.
