An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Communications & Marketing Manager and experienced people manager to join this global Christian international relief charity and lead their Communications & Marketing team at their Midlands UK HQ.
We will lead a multi-disciplined team of four to shape and drive communications efforts in the UK, in liaison with International HQ, across digital and other channels to maximise exposure for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead External Communications & Media Relations.
- Support Fundraising, Donor Engagement & Communication Strategic Partnerships.
- Manage Internal Communications & Collaboration.
- Leadership & Mentoring of the team.
- Ensure UK alignment with International Offices & colleagues.
- Agile response to emerging disaster or emergency situations.
- Manage large budgets and support budgetary planning processes.
- Conduct and coordinate research, analysis, and proposals; implement agreed outcomes promptly.
- Apply web data analytics to inform strategy.
- Degree qualified in a recognised professional discipline.
- 3–5 years of proven senior management of people and projects within a communications department.
- Experience in digital marketing, copywriting and team management.
- Excellent planning and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal communication & public presentation skills.
- Experience managing large budgets and involvement in budget planning.
- Capabilities in web data analytics.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Mature Christian faith – practising evangelical Christian (non‑denominational) is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
- Enthusiasm for the Christian purposes of the organisation and commitment to live out its values.
35 hours per week. The role is envisaged as 100% office‑based due to the often‑reactive nature of disaster response, but some flexibility for remote working outside peak periods.
