An opportunity to join a global international relief charity as a Major Donor Manager. The role will be based in Hertfordshire, UK, and will support the charity’s major gifts program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a significant portfolio pipeline of up to 100 major donor prospects using CRM, wealth screening and internal insights.
- Build and expand relationships with trustees, executive team members and donor networks through regular personal engagement and tailored stewardship.
- Represent the charity at meetings, events and networking opportunities to cultivate new donor relationships.
- Create donor development plans for top prospects, identifying motivations and needs and designing creative responses to secure five‑figure gifts.
- Prepare compelling funding proposals, impact reports and donor communications tailored to individual supporters.
- Develop and implement cultivation opportunities, including events, briefings and mission‑focused engagement.
- Work collaboratively with marketing and communications colleagues to deliver meaningful donor engagement and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Produce regular reports on progress against targets and make data‑driven decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in major gift or philanthropy fundraising with successful five‑figure asks.
- Strong communication and relationship‑management skills.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team‑working ability and a positive, intuitive attitude.
- Proactive, practical “can‑do” approach.
- Willingly open to learning and taking initiative.
- Christian faith: a practising non‑denominational Christian with an active faith (GOR).
Benefits & Remuneration
- Annual salary of c£42–£45k plus benefits, dependent on experience.
- Full‑time role: 37.5 hours per week.
- Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Hertfordshire office.
