An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Operational Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing to jointhis global International Relief Charity at their Hertfordshire UK HQ. This is a fantastic role, and I’m seeking a candidate with strong operational marketing experience. The successful candidate will lead the charity’s operational marketing function that turns fundraising, volunteering and brand priorities into integrated, well-managed campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes. The role exists to ensure that campaigns are planned, briefed, resourced, created, implemented, optimised and evaluated with pace, quality and consistency. You will take responsibility for leading the team to translate audience insight, strategic messaging and organisational objectives into compelling campaign activity across digital, print, events, content and supporter journeys. You will work closely with the Director of Communications, Fundraising team, Volunteer and Communities engagement teams and senior eadership on delivering th operational aspects of whole Marketing as well as working with International teams and offices.

  • And Performance, reporting and continuous improvement


You can ideally demonstrate career experience in Charity / Commercial sectors across:



  • Significant experience in a senior marketing, campaign delivery or creative operations role.

  • Proven track record of delivering integrated campaigns across digital, print, content and/or events.

  • Experience supporting fundraising, volunteer recruitment, supporter engagement, brand or public-facing campaigns.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.

  • Experience developing workflows, briefing processes, project plans and performance reporting.

  • Experience using insight and data to improve campaign effectiveness.


It would be helpful (though not essential) to have previous experience in the charity, faith-based or international development sector, experience working with global or multi-stakeholder brands and experience managing agency relationships for paid media, creative, digital or content delivery.


Skills & Abilities:



  • Strong operational leadership, planning and project-management skills.

  • Excellent creative judgement and ability to turn strategy into practical campaign delivery.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong copy, editing and briefing skills.

  • Confident stakeholder management and ability to balance competing priorities.

  • Strong understanding of digital channels, content production, supporter journeys and campaign optimisation.

  • Ability to use KPIs, insight and postcampaign learning to improve delivery.

  • Strong budget awareness and supplier management skills.


Ideally (but not essential) you will have experience or exposure to marketing automation, CRM, projectmanagement tools, analytics dashboards or content management systems. The ability to contribute to creative ideation, proposition development and audience-led campaign planning. A practical understanding of AI-enabled marketing tools, content production technologies and automation, with the ability to evaluate their appropriate application.

We have an annual salary of between c£55k-c£60k + significan benefits available dependent upon experience (& including an individual budget for professional development) and a full job description available. 37.5 hours/week with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office. Ref: MD00494.
