Fantastic opportunity for Information Technology Business Development Manager to join this rapidly expanding consultancy business who provide Project Portfolio Management services, working with their large scale clients to drive their change programmes and their understanding of the change-in-business space. The consultancy offer Project Management / PMO as a Service (PMaaS / PMOaaS). Their work is centralised around IT so a technical understanding is highly preferable. They are currently running a number of large complex change programmes and the successful Business Development Manager will drive their Sales and Business Development efforts into new clients as well as assisting in relationships management with existing customers. The business is very much looking for a door opener for cold and relationship management skills for existing clients.

This is a relatively autonomous role and needs someone who will not struggle with the sales cycle and can help develop the brand in a call to action type manner and showing how the business can “stand out from the crowd”. You have confidence, with the experience and portfolio of contacts to back it up, and will be able to demonstrate gravitas / seniority / give your clients the confidence too, etc. You are someone who can bring the necessary demonstrable skills to grow the business. Sectors the consultancy are involved in are Pharma, Manufacturing, Retail, Charity and Education at present and are open to new areas, though not within Financial Services. We really need someone who can come with a vision, who has a long term and consultative style of sales – ideally with experience of selling Consultative Professional Services without needing to be working of the back of specific physical hardware / software / product.

Working in a mainly virtual environment (i.e. home working anywhere in the UK so long as you can access the Thames Valley corridor as required) utilising digital platforms, you are self-motivated and will be able to work autonomously as the digital face of the business to clients, hence an appropriate personality who is presentable and not camera shy is a must together with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organisational ability and structured, methodical approach. Post Covid-19 there may be the need to attend face-to-face client meetings
