An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Marketing & Communications Project Officer to join this global international relief charity at their Hertfordshire UK HQ. This is an ideal role and would suit a candidate with some previous experience in a similar role.
The Project Officer will be responsible for:
- Production workflows, resourcing, and outputs as well as creative project management for internal client relationships and briefs.
- Working with the Creative Lead to plan, triage and manage the output of high-quality creative work that delivers and enhances the charity’s brand.
- Monitoring and managing project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Assessing resource availability and skills to assign the right people to each project and task.
- Administering the end-to-end internal creative processes for content and asset production (including graphic design, copy, photography, and video) to delivery.
- Administering the Creative Team project and traffic management platforms (like Asana), planning, triaging, prioritising, scheduling of jobs, and allocating both team and external resources.
- Supporting the Creative Lead with the onboarding of external agencies and freelancers, partners and suppliers, including contractor work schedules, budgets, and processing invoices.
- Supporting with the branding and purchasing of merchandise for corporate events and fundraising activities.
- Internal communications, supporting the Head of Brand and Communications with day-to-day communications with various teams in the organisation.
- Scheduling and leading meetings, ensuring key actions are followed through, and acting as a key liaison for projects.
- Coordinating the organisation’s Communications Calendar and other shared resources.
- Managing the online Creative Resource Centre and ensuring communication around the team’s offer and processes are well understood and regularly updated.
- Fostering a culture of continual improvement and collaboration within the team.
You can demonstrate documented experience in the field plus recognised qualification in communications or project management, or equivalent experience. Ideally, you will have Marketing, Brand Creative qualifications or membership but also a good 5+ years working in a creative/traffic management environment.
Your experience will include:
- Managing and administering project/traffic management software and tools for specialist creative workflows.
- Communicating clearly and ‘building bridges’ with colleagues at all levels.
- Understanding of creative and production processes, particularly graphic design, copy and multimedia production.
- Delivering high profile and multi-channel creative assets.
- Capacity and resource planning.
- Detailed knowledge of creative workflows, scheduling, commissioning, budgeting, and project management.
- Knowledge of agency and freelance procurement, across creative services in particular.
The position can be hybrid – dependent on candidate location (the office is in Hertfordshire) with a minimum of 2 office days/week. The charity is driven by Christian values and candidates are expected to have empathy with those values; the role is open to candidates of all faiths and none.
Salary information: c£35k + benefits (dependent upon experience). 37.5 hours/week with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
