The Landmark Arts Centre is seeking an experienced and inspiring Musical Director to lead Landmark Singers, our established auditioned community choir. Based in our Grade II* listed arts centre in South West London, this freelance role offers the opportunity to work with a committed and ambitious group of singers, shaping an engaging programme of rehearsals, performances and events throughout the year.
The Musical Director will lead weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals, develop the choir’s musical and vocal skills, and curate a varied and accessible repertoire. Working closely with the Creative Learning team, they will play a key role in supporting the choir’s continued growth and success while fostering a welcoming, inclusive and community-focused environment.
This position would suit a confident choral leader with experience of directing semi-professional community choirs, strong musicianship, and a passion for helping singers develop and thrive. The successful candidate will be collaborative, enthusiastic and full of ideas, with the ability to balance musical ambition with an enjoyable and supportive rehearsal experience.
The role is offered on a freelance basis through an annual rolling agreement. The successful candidate will begin in September 2026.
