Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military.   • Salary: £27,877.57 + £1,127.50 Variable Days Allowance
  • Location: Ash Ranges, Heath vale Bridge Road GU125EU
  • Contract: Permanent / Full‑time / On‑site
  • Hours:06:00 - 23:00, Monday - Sunday

What You’ll Do

  • To ensure that the Defence Training Estateis kept in top condition
  • Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training provided)
  • Manufacturing and deploying targets
  • Equipment Testing
  • Driving and operating fleet vehicles
  • Use of Warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights
  • Ensure that the facilities adhere to strict safety protocols
  • Stock management
  • Completion of work orders and pre planned maintenance.
  • Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems

What We’re Looking For

  • EssentialKnowledge of Grounds and Landscape Maintenance
  • Excellent communication skillsBasic IT skills with ability to use a tablet
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment
  • Good knowledge of COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and Health & Safety protocols
  • A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
  • Desirable Knowledge of working in a rural environment
  • Knowledge of range assignment instructions and range standing orders
  • Experience as a range/ training area user
