Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Shifts run between: 08:00 - 16:00 from Monday to Sunday. Hours of work: 37. Contract: Permanent. Location: Halton Training Camp, Lancaster, LA2 6LW.

Main Responsibilities

  • Looking after the camps general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
  • Cleaning offices, communal facilities and accommodation blocks, including ablutions, shower blocks etc.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • General building maintenance.
  • Basic grounds maintenance.
  • Waste services and sustainability tasks.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks such as weed killing using a pack sprayer.
  • Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems.
  • Carry out any other additional requirements as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
  • Knowledge of working in a rural environment and stock and control systems.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as push lawn mower and strimmer.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to complete documentation.
  • Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
  • Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site (essential).
