Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative (Main Towers Assistant) to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military. Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:15, Friday 08:00 - 12:00
About the Organisation: Landmarc provides the essential support services that enable Armed Forces to train for frontline operations across the UK Defence Training Estate. What You’ll Do:
- Operation of basic IT Systems
- Face to face, Radio & Telephone Communication
- Management of Range Booking Procedures (Email, Telephone, Paper & Electronic Booking records)
- Recording basic information via IT and in written format
- Meteorological Observations (Full Training Given)
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work as part of a team in a safety critical environment
- An ability and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills Face to Face, Telephone and Radio
- Competent in the taking in and recording verbally given information
- Basic IT skills
- Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE and above)
- A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
- Experience in working as part of a team
- Experience in Meteorological Observations (desirable but not essential)
