Landmarc Support Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee construction projects across the South East region, based at Longmoor. In this key role, you will lead complex pre-construction projects valued between £200K-£10m, ensuring compliance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability targets are met.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Lead Pre-Construction Activities: Take charge of developing and refining client briefs, establishing preferred options, and ensuring compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
- Stakeholder Management: Champion government soft landings by engaging with and managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee Design and Compliance: Manage supply chain design and compliance, project planning, risk mitigation, and achieving sustainability goals.
- Project Assurance: Provide continued oversight as projects transition to regional delivery teams, ensuring project assurance and smooth handover into operational and asset management phases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage complex projects during the pre-construction phase
- Provide assurance to regional teams during the project delivery phase
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and other construction health and safety standards
- Prepare and collate tender documentation
- Effectively communicate with a variety of complex stakeholders
- Utilise software tools such as ASite, MS Excel, and MS Project to deliver outputs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Education: Level 5 qualification (HND) or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services field
- Project Management Experience: Proven depth of experience in project management
- Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with CDM Regulations, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, and Asbestos
- Project Management Certification: PRINCE2, MSP, APM PMQ, or equivalent
- Professional Membership: Membership of a professional body such as APM, IET, or CIBSE
- Construction Contract Knowledge: Demonstrable experience with construction contracts, including the tender process (NEC preferred)
- Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk identification and mitigation
- Regulations & Standards: Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, including those for Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Financial Oversight: Ability to monitor and communicate project financial performance
- Workload Management: Skilled in workload scheduling and multitasking
- Experience working within the Defence environment
- Knowledge of MoD Defence Contracts
