Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military. Landmarc provide full training and continuous development opportunities, making this a fantastic opportunity to start a career on the Defence Training Estate. Shifts run between: 07:00 - 23:59 from Monday to Sunday. Hours of work: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent.
Main Responsibilities
- Erecting and removing danger area flags and ensuring secure locking of access gates
- Assisting with range control operations to maintain safe and efficient use of facilities
- Repairing and maintaining targets and range equipment
- Carrying out general range repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Grounds maintenance, including grass cutting and upkeep of outdoor areas
- Fencing inspections and repairs to ensure site security and safety
- Cleaning and maintaining offices, welfare facilities, and toilets to a high standard
- Supporting pest control activities in line with site requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge of Landscape and Ground Maintenance
- Knowledge of MOD Ranges and target systems
- Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety protocols
- A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
