Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include basic maintenance tasks such as legionella checks, fire door inspections, and escorting contractors to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.
Shifts run between: 08:00 - 16:30 from Monday to Friday (early finish on Fridays). Hours of work: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent. Location: RAF Spadeadam, Gilsland, Brampton, Cumbria, CA8 7AT.
Main Responsibilities:
- Looking after the camp's general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
- Carrying out inspections on Fire Doors, Plant Rooms, Emergency Lights and Tanks.
- Legionella testing.
- General building and grounds maintenance.
- Operation and maintenance of plant equipment (training will be provided).
- Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment.
- Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper-based systems.
- Carry out any other additional requirements as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Basic maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to complete documentation.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to use a tablet.
- Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site (essential).
