Landmarc Support Services is looking for a reliable and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Warcop Camp. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the UK Armed Forces, ensuring training facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use. From maintaining accommodation blocks to supporting grounds upkeep, your work will directly contribute to the effectiveness of military training. No previous experience is required – just a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Shifts run between: Mainly Monday to Friday shifts, between 08:00 – 16:00 (08:00 – 15:30 Fridays), with occasional weekend shifts as required. Hours of work: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent. Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensuring cleanliness across site facilities.
  • Cleaning accommodation blocks, offices, and communal areas.
  • Supporting basic building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Assisting with grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Managing and replenishing cleaning supplies and stock.
  • Completing basic records and documentation (paper and digital).
  • Providing flexible support across the site as needed.
  • Carrying out any other additional requirements as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A reliable and proactive approach to work.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning, housekeeping or caretaking.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety practices.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. using a tablet).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential) due to the rural location.
