Landmarc's core mission is to provide the Armed Forces with support services on the Defence Training Estate and has done so for over 20 years. The Sustainability department within Landmarc has a national remit and responsibility for management of our Environmental Management System and Energy Management System, whilst providing advice and support to regional teams on all aspects of sustainability.
Landmarc is currently looking for a Graduate student. This is a great opportunity for a student from an environment or sustainability background with a particular interest in energy to get involved with a wide range of projects. The projects will be mainly in support of our Energy Management System; however, there is some flexibility extending into wider sustainability-related work, depending on the skills and aspirations of the successful candidate. This will be a hands-on role offering multiple learning opportunities in energy management and sustainability. You will gain valuable experience while supporting the improvement of our Energy Management System and engaging with the Sustainability Team.
Main Responsibilities
- Support Energy Management System delivery and improvement
- Monitor and analyse data using Energy Management Software
- Investigate unusual energy consumption
- Develop and support regional Energy Management Teams
- Create energy management training and content for internal communication (articles, social media)
- Assist with audits, legal updates, and site visits
- Deliver annual staff travel survey and report on business travel data
- Occasional UK site travel as needed
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong communication skills and creative thinking
- Proficient in IT and willing to learn new tools (e.g., C3ntinel energy software)
- Knowledge of energy management and ISO 50001
- Detail-oriented with strong data analysis skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Access to own transport due to the rural location of the site
