Landmarc Support Services is seeking a proactive and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at RAF Spadeadam. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that facilities across the estate remain safe, functional and ready to support vital training activity. From basic plumbing and fabric repairs to planned maintenance and inspections, you will play a key part in keeping this unique site operating at its best. No two days are the same. You will work across multiple buildings, respond to maintenance requests, and support wider estate operations as part of a friendly, diverse and highly supportive team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out building maintenance, basic plumbing, fabric repairs and general upkeep
- Completing inspections, preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Following Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Liaising with contractors, tenants and site users to support smooth site delivery
- Using IT and paper-based systems to record work and inspections
- Participating in the on-call rota when required
Knowledge & Experience
- Level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds) in a relevant trade, or equivalent experience
- Multi-trade skills and confidence using a wide range of tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety (COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments, safe systems of work)
- Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working in higher-risk environments with appropriate training
- Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with customers or stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
