Landmarc Support Services is looking for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team, overseeing key operations on the Defence Training Estate. This role is integral to maintaining the estate’s functionality and safety, ensuring military personnel can train effectively. As a Team Leader, you will manage a team of Training Area Operatives, with a specific focus on leading the Range Towers Team. These towers play a critical role in live firing exercises, overseeing the safety and operation of range targetry systems while providing a workspace for both Landmarc staff and visiting troops.

We are looking for an individual with experience working on the Defence Training Estate or leading a high‑performing team in a rural or operational environment. Shifts run between: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:30. One night firing a week with the possibility of weekend firing. Rota will be discussed on interview. Hours of work: 39 per week. Annual Allowances: £1,127.50 Radar Allowance. Contract: Permanent. Location: Lulworth Ranges, Lulworth, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 5QF. Interviews to be held: Week commencing 1st June. Main Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in hands‑on tasks—approximately 80% of your time will be spent working alongside your team.
  • Monitor live firing activities from range control by monitoring the camera and radar systems.
  • Operate fleet vehicles and plant machinery as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using IT and paper‑based systems.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the team.
  • Liaise with the customer and contractors on a regular basis.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Take the lead and be responsible for other people working in the team.

  • Communicate clearly with people on all levels.
  • Work in a diverse multi‑tasking mobile team environment.
  • Basic labouring, caretaking and housekeeping skills.
  • Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives.
  • Ability to complete documentation.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • A valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.
