We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military. Landmarc provide full training and continuous development opportunities, making this a fantastic opportunity to start a career on the Defence Training Estate.
Join our dedicated team as a Training Area Operative and play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.
Shifts run between: 05:00 - 20:00 from Monday to Sunday
Hours of work: On average 15 hours per week
Contract: Variable Hours (Minimum 8 hours per month guaranteed)
Rota's: Will be provided monthly to ensure availability
Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA
Main Responsibilities:
- Raise and lower safety flags; open/close barriers.
- Carrying out range clearance.
- Preventative and reactive maintenance on ranges and training area.
- Grounds maintenance including grass cutting using ride-on mowers and strimmers.
- Checking and testing electronic targets prior to use.
- Driving and operating fleet vehicles.
- Complete basic admin using tablets and paper-based systems.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential).
- Basic IT skills (tablet use).
- Strong communication skills.
- Awareness of Health & Safety protocols.
