The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Based at West Tofts Camp (IP26 5EP), you will be responsible for contractual delivery plans across the East region, providing technical advice and strategic guidance relating to the built estate to ensure compliance with the contract, building regulations/standards and other statutory requirements.
Travel required: This regional role will require travel within the East region to include sites in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Northamptonshire.
Main Responsibilities
- Support with the delivery of statutory Big 6 compliance such as Fire, DSEAR, Electrical, Asbestos, Legionella, Fuels and Gases.
- Act as deputy responsible person, supporting in the development and review of Asbestos Management Plans and the Legionella Management Plans.
- Ensure these plans are delegated to regional delivery staff as required and monitor controls to ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to delivery teams to drive efficiency and best practice.
- Write contract specifications, evaluate quotations, and manage small contractor-led jobs complying with CDM requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential income-generating projects.
- Assist in maintenance and correction of the asset database.
- Accept appointment as Authorised Person (AP) for safe systems of work in relevant skills discipline as required to support the business (additional allowance applicable).
The Ideal Candidate
- You will be qualified in a technical bias, this might be Mechanical, Electrical or Building and Civil Engineering, or have gained appropriate knowledge through a time served role.
- Knowledge of the building services and statutory regulations to include SFG20 standards, CDM, legionella and asbestos.
- Health & Safety experience with a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely level.
- Good working knowledge of H&S systems such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Excellent IT skills including experience of using and interrogating asset and maintenance management systems (Maximo).
- Knowledge of project work and the practicalities of delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to across functions.
- Ability to travel across the region to support operations.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
