Landmarc Support Services is seeking a motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of operatives dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Key Details

  • Shifts run between: Monday – Sunday 08:00 – 16.30. Working hours to be discussed in interview.
  • Hours of work: 37 per week
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Sennybridge Training Camp, Powys, LD3 8PN
  • Interviews will be held on: Monday 6th – Tuesday 7th July

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a team as the first line manager – acting as the first point of contact, allocating tasks and checking work.
  • Ensure the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work; report defects and unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.
  • Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery, e.g. handover/take back of facilities.
  • Complete all relevant documentation using IT and paper based systems.
  • Lead team members in duties and performance.
  • Ensure training areas are fit for purpose and prepare them for use.
  • Support the team in general housekeeping, building and grounds maintenance.
  • Monitor the completion of Preventative Planned Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance Tasks to maintain compliance.
  • Operate fleet vehicles and plant machinery as required.
  • Ensure all safety regulations and operational procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using IT and paper based systems.

Secondary Duties

  • Carry out additional works in response to additional contract requirements (fee earning).
  • Maintain competence, skills and abilities within relevant discipline.
  • Mentor apprentices or trainees.
  • Accept appointment as an Authorised Person (AP) for safe systems of work in relevant skills discipline as required to support the business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of working in a rural environment.
  • Knowledge of range assignment instructions and range standing orders.
  • Experience as a range/training area user.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Experience in Estate Services and Maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with estate services, grounds maintenance, and plant machinery operations.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Valid UK manual driving licence.
