What You’ll Be Doing
As our Maintenance Manager, you’ll take ownership of both people and performance, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of technicians, ensuring strong performance, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Overseeing planned preventative maintenance and delivering reactive and remedial works
- Ensuring all activities comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, including CDM, building regulations, fire safety, equality legislation, planning and environmental standards
- Using a bespoke IT system to maintain accurate records and reporting
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless maintenance delivery
- Writing clear and effective contract specifications
- Supporting continuous improvement across maintenance processes and systems
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong leadership. You’ll have:
- A Mechanical or Electrical qualification, or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Knowledge of matrix management
- Strong understanding of H&S requirements including COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments, and safe systems of work (IOSH Managing Safely level)
- Experience with workload scheduling and auditing systems
- Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Full UK Driving licence to carry out the duties of this role
