Landmarc Support Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple small-scale projects across the Training Estate. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.

This position requires Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) expertise to manage minor works involving electrical, mechanical, and fabric-related tasks. The Project Manager will coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and statutory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Location: Swynnerton Training Camp, Cold Meece, Nr Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 0QN

Travel: Covering Leek, Whittington, Kingsbury, Capel Curig (expenses supported)

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of minor M&E projects, including planning, risk management, procurement, and delivery.
  2. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to CDM regulations, health & safety standards (e.g., COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, Asbestos).
  3. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor performance, and ensure cost-effective execution.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with customers, internal teams, contractors, and regulators for seamless delivery.
  5. Technical Expertise: Provide technical input for design, specifications, and implementation of minor works.
  6. Risk & Quality Control: Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with Building Regulations & MOD standards.
  7. Support National Projects: Assist with major projects, including reviews, inspections, and quality checks.

The Ideal Candidate:

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems and regulations
  • Experience managing multiple minor works projects (electrical, mechanical, fabric)
  • Ability to work with contractors and supply chains effectively
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and Building Regulations (Scotland & Northern Ireland)
  • Proficient in workload scheduling and work order processes
  • Familiarity with MOD contracts, JSPs, DMGs (desirable)

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 4 qualification (NVQ/HNC) in Construction, Project Management, M&E Engineering, PRINCE2, or equivalent
  • Understanding of health & safety standards and regulations
  • Experience managing small-scale M&E projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines and quality standards
  • Strong budget management and contract interpretation skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and MS Project
  • UK driving license (travel required)
