The Role
As a National Training Area Manager (Radar and CCTV), you will:
- Support the Ranges and Training Areas Assurance Manager in developing processes and guidance for contract requirements.
- Conduct technical inspections on surveillance systems and oversee remedial works.
- Manage and deliver RADAR, CCTV, and software platform training.
- Implement internal audit programmes and recommend business process improvements.
- Provide technical support for surveillance system design, compliance, and operation.
- Lead reactive maintenance works and report on expenditure.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective training area surveillance and operation.
- Ensure compliance with the Internal Control Document.
The Candidate
As a National Training Area Manager (Radar and CCTV), you should have:
- Ability to travel to national meetings and conferences in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of RADAR and CCTV surveillance systems and RAF CIS based Authorisations.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards such as COSHH and IOSH Managing Safely.
- Experience with facilities management methodologies.
- Competence to appoint RAF based engineering authorisations.
- Ability to explain contractual requirements and ensure quality standards.
- Skills to plan, analyse, and act on management information.
- Proficiency in teaching and operating VTS or surveillance system software.
