Landmarc Support Services are currently recruiting a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military. Landmarc provides full training and continuous development opportunities, making this a fantastic opportunity to start a career on the Defence Training Estate. Shifts run between 07:30 – 23:30 from Monday to Sunday. Hours of work: 37 per week. Contract: Permanent. Annual Allowances: £1,127.50 for working weekends. Location: Longmoor Camp, Liss, Hampshire, GU33 6EL. Interviews to be held: Week commencing Monday 20th July. Please note that all interview-related correspondence will be sent via email. Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Defence Training Estate is kept in top condition.
  • Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.
  • Direct, support and assist training estate users both civilian and military.
  • Hand over and take back of the Facilities, ensuring they are fit for use.
  • Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment (training provided).
  • Maintain grounds of the training facilities.
  • Drive and operate fleet vehicles.
  • Use warning systems, including training control offices, flags and lights.
  • Ensure that the facilities adhere to strict safety protocols.
  • Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Experience working in a diverse multi-tasking team environment.
  • Ability to operate plant and machinery.
  • Knowledge of two-way radio communication (desirable).
  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Computer literacy with ability to use Microsoft software.
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels.
  • Applicants must hold a full valid UK driving licence to drive and operate fleet vehicles.
