Job Introduction
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping critical Defence training facilities safe, compliant and fully operational across the Home Counties.

- Contract: Permanent, Mon–Thurs 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–15:30
- Travel: Required across the Home Counties region

What You’ll Do
We’re offering a rare chance for an ambitious electrical engineer to step into a dual‑path role combining AP Electrical (HV/LV) development with Qualified Supervisor (QS) responsibilities.

- Planning outages and producing switching programmes
- High voltage testing, fault location and network re‑energisation
- Managing safe systems of work and issuing Permits to Work
- Liaising with clients and supporting safe delivery on live networks
- Mentoring trainees as you progress
- Your QS Responsibilities
- Overseeing testing, inspection and certification
- Signing off EICs, EICRs and Minor Works
- Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and NAPIT/NICEIC standards
- Supporting site teams with technical guidance and fault finding Preparing for audits and maintaining high‑quality installation standards
- Being part of an on‑call rota 1 in 4 weeks (overtime/TOIL applicable)
- Carrying out electrical reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the estate
Essential
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection 18th Edition
- Previous QS experience (NAPIT/NICEIC)
- ECS Gold Card / JIB Approved Electrician
- Full UK Driving Licence
