Landis+Gyr are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Global IT Network team to support a busy, transforming and dynamic Global IT Infrastructure department.
Areas of responsibility:- Administration and support of global network platforms
- WAN and SD-WAN support
- Google Cloud Platform network administration and support
- Check Point firewall administration and support (on-premise and cloud)
- Wireless network (Extreme) platform support and administration
- Pulse VPN remote access solution support
- Delivery and support of Internet (DIA) services
- LAN support and administration
- Collaboration with network team and wider IT Infrastructure/IT function liaison
- Support and delivery of network related projects
- Network skills and technologies
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Team focus
- Available outside of normal business hours
- High level networking skills & experience (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Wireless & VPN)
- Check Point firewall administration
- High level TCP/IP knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of cloud networking (pref. GCP)
- Experience with IaC (Terraform scripting)
- Autonomous execution of duties and ability to deliver projects efficiently.
- Significant experience of building, administering and supporting corporate network services
- Building and administering cloud networking technologies
- Understanding and experience with SD-WAN and wireless technology
- ITSM and Change management experience (ITIL)
- Advanced network troubleshooting and problem solving
- Platform documentation and solutions design
