An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking practice in the heart of Cornwall.

Based in Truro, Cornwall's cathedral city, Lander Medical Practice is committed to delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care while maintaining a strong focus on clinician wellbeing and work‑life balance. We are looking for a GP to join our team of 8 partners and 4 salaried GPs, working a negotiable number of sessions, ideally 6 per week.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly regarded training practice, within a thriving Primary Care Network, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide high‑quality general medical services to our practice population, delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking routine GP consultations and clinical assessments.
  • Managing acute and chronic conditions in line with best practice.
  • Participating in practice meetings, clinical discussions and service development activities.
  • Supporting education and training within the practice where appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, physiotherapists, paramedics, community services and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.

Opportunities are available to develop special interests, teaching and research activities.

Person Specification – Qualifications

  • Fully qualified General Practitioner with current GMC registration and licence to practice.
  • Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List or eligible for inclusion.
  • Evidence of completion of GP Specialty Training (CCT) or equivalent.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary

£11,000 to £13,100 per session per annum, depending on role.
