We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join Landau. This role is about supporting adults with learning disabilities to build independence, confidence and life skills, enabling them to participate fully in education, vocational activity and community life. The Support Worker will provide person-centred support within the training centre and wider community, promoting inclusion, dignity and choice. Working closely with tutors and the wider team, you will help create a safe, positive and empowering environment where learners can achieve their personal goals and reach their potential. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support in line with individual care and support plans
- Work collaboratively with tutors to identify and deliver appropriate support and interventions
- Support learners in centre-based and community-based activities
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to develop skills, confidence and independence
- Identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate strategies to overcome them
- Support learner portfolios, assessments, progress reviews and programme administration
- Promote positive behaviour management in line with policies and procedures
- Provide pastoral support and impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG)
- Support learners to achieve learning objectives, personal development goals and assessment readiness
- Maintain accurate records including daily notes, support plans and incident reports
- Act as key worker for identified learners, supporting engagement, attendance and progress
- Monitor learner health, wellbeing and safeguarding, reporting concerns promptly
- Liaise with parents/carers, stakeholders and agencies as appropriate
- Support off-site activity, including visits and work experience, in line with risk assessments
- Provide flexible support to the wider organisation as required
