We have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join Landau. In this role, you will deliver vibrant and engaging learning to small groups of learners through Landau’s Education programmes, using creative approaches to Functional Skills English, Maths, Personal, Social Development (PSD) and Employability qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2. You will support learners to build confidence, develop skills, and make meaningful progress.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality, responsive programmes that meet the needs of all learners, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support promotion and recruitment activities, including initial assessments, taster sessions, and learner induction.
- Deliver engaging sessions and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications, including ASDAN Employability, PSD, and Functional Skills English and Maths.
- Devise or adapt session plans and resources to meet learners’ needs and qualification objectives.
- Assess, plan for, and monitor the needs of learners with EHCPs, contributing to reviews with learners, parents/carers, and multi‑agency teams.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and regular progress reviews to help learners thrive.
- Manage and deploy Learning Support Assistants to ensure effective teaching and learning.
- Encourage learners’ personal and social development, confidence, and self‑esteem, promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
- Prepare learners for exams and assessments through effective marking, feedback, and monitoring.
- Contribute to internal verification, moderation, and quality assurance.
- Complete all course administration accurately and on time, including learner registrations.
- Deliver enrichment activities, tutorials, and high‑quality information, advice, and guidance (IAG).
- Support work experience placements and liaise with employers to ensure success.
- Keep accurate records and inform management of delivery, recruitment, retention, and learner progress.
- Offer pastoral support and champion safeguarding, equality, British values, and Prevent duties.
- Participate in quality monitoring, observations, peer review, self‑evaluation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work flexibly as part of the wider Landau delivery team to support programme growth and development.
- Technical competency: Teaching qualification – Essential; Maths and English at level 2 minimum – Essential; Assessor, Verifier or IQA training or qualifications – Desirable; Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject – Desirable.
- Experience: Experience of teaching – particularly functional skills and employability – Essential; Experience working with learners who have disabilities or learning difficulties or who are overcoming disadvantages – Desirable; Experience working with learners with Education, Health and Care Plans – Desirable; Experience leading and managing teams/staff – Desirable.
- Safeguarding and/or First Aid: Essential.
- Skills and Attributes: Creative and innovative, able to devise practical approaches that will interest and motivate learners – Essential; Relevant vocational competence and insight to lead on the delivery of employability qualification – Essential; Good IT skills and ability to undertake essential administrative or reporting tasks – Desirable; Strong commitment to supporting all learners – Essential; Excellent organisational skills, time‑keeping and reliability – Essential.
Salary: £27,300 – £33,360 FTE per annum (£23,073.75– £28,195.62 Pro Rata)
