Overview
We are looking for a versatile and outgoing individual to join the team as a Weekend & Evening Duty Manager to support our community hire and lettings activities. The hours are not fixed, but the majority of shifts will be on Saturday and Sunday with shifts between the hours of 7am to 10pm dependent on bookings. Occasional weekday evenings may also be offered.
The duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Meet and greet customers and facilitate the smooth running of external hires.
- Clearing and setting up of rooms including setting up of inflatables for parties.
- Closing and securing the Academy including activation and deactivation of alarms.
- Assisting with security issues.
- Be the initial point of contact for all enquiries in person and via email.
- Ensure all visitors are issued with badges in order to comply with the Academy\’s safety procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area across the site including the pool area.
- Be responsible for all bookings during your working shift, ensuring the Academy is set correctly and kept tidy.
- Working in the bar/coffee shop when required.
- Carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Academy\’s policy, organisation and arrangements for Health & Safety at work.
- Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities relevant to the post as directed by the Chief Executive Officer, Deputy CEO, Head of Operations or LFE Manager.

Requirements and desirable experience
- Worked within the hospitality industry and have excellent customer service skills (desirable).
- Experience in a facilities or building maintenance environment (desirable).
- Duty manager experience and experience of managing a small team (desirable).
- A good multi tasker and logical thinker (desirable).

- Able to work on own initiative, be reliable and trustworthy.
- Able to work successfully as part of a highly effective team.
- Excellent personal organisational skills and be a proactive, forward thinker.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours to support the Landau Forte facilities lettings business.

About Landau Forte
Landau Forte Academy QEMS & Tamworth Sixth Form.
Landau Forte Academy QEMS joined the Landau Forte Charitable Trust in September 2011 and delivers education to 11-16 year olds. Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form provides Level 3 courses, both Advanced Level and BTEC, for the whole of Tamworth and beyond. The academies are located on a shared campus, but both operate from their own facilities, with Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form having new bespoke accommodation, which opened in September 2011, with a new Sports Hall that opened in 2013.

Tamworth is a historic town surrounded by beautiful countryside, located a short distance from Birmingham. The Academy is located close to the centre of Tamworth, with superb transport links. Tamworth boasts a range of historical sites and leisure attractions, including Tamworth Castle, the Tamworth SnowDome and Drayton Manor Amusement Park. Within a 20 minute drive from the town, you can reach the beautiful, open Staffordshire countryside or Birmingham\’s bustling city centre.
Tamworth is 10 minutes away from the M42, junction 10. Direct trains from Birmingham (10 minutes) and London (1 hour 15 minutes). Birmingham and East Midlands Airports are 30 minutes away.
