About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Education Coordinator to join our growing education team. Working closely with the Education Lead, you will help coordinate the delivery of high-quality education programmes while supporting learners' wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and personal development. You will provide leadership and support to tutors and support staff, ensuring every learner receives the individualised support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge all learners.
  • Work with the Education Lead to design, implement and review curriculum plans tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Develop creative and engaging teaching strategies that support differentiated learning pathways.
  • Coordinate daily timetables for learners and staff to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to tutors and support staff.
  • Monitor tutor performance and provide day-to-day line management support, including managing absence and cover arrangements.
  • Support the delivery of staff training and continuous professional development activities.
  • Provide classroom cover where required to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and learner wellbeing.
  • Support compliance with Ofsted, SEND and other regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to reports and updates for parents, carers and external stakeholders.
  • Support curriculum planning and academic year programming.
  • Work with the Pastoral Lead to monitor attendance, behaviour and learner performance.
  • Collaborate with tutors, the Progress and Monitoring Officer and IQA to ensure effective assessment planning.
  • Support the SENCO with EHCP Annual Reviews.
  • Conduct learning walks and teaching observations in line with organisational policies.
  • Support enrichment activities and opportunities that enhance learner experiences.
  • Contribute positively as a member of the wider Landau management team.
  • Promote and support extracurricular activities and learner engagement opportunities.
  • Monitor and review the department's MIS systems, liaising with administration teams as required.
  • Encourage the sharing of best practice across teams.
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
  • Support wider coordinator functions when required.
  • Transport learners to activities and events using your own vehicle, public transport or a company vehicle.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the organisation's objectives.

As this role involves regular work with children and young people and meets the definition of regulated activity, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must disclose all relevant unprotected cautions and convictions in accordance with current legislation. If successful, you will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, including a Children's Barred List check, and provide at least two satisfactory references. It is an offence for a person barred from working with children to apply for this role.
