Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer

Morrison Electricity Transmission is recruiting for a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer to join our growing design team in the UK. As a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer, you will be part of our Transmission Design Team who are responsible for all permanent and temporary works design support on contracts for NG, SSE, SPEN, and the full range of UK DNOs.

Responsibilities:

1. To produce an effective substation civil design.

Knowledge Requirements:

1. B.Eng or BSc in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering, with honours or HND plus relevant experience.
2. Sufficient experience in civil and structural substation design with considerable knowledge of National Grid specifications, British Standards, and other UK TNO and DNO design standards.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector or similar.
4. Ability to self-learn the use of any Civil or Structural engineering software.
