Morrison Electricity Transmission is recruiting for a Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer to join our growing design team in the UK. As the Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer, you will be part of our Transmission Design Team who are responsible for all permanent and temporary works design support on contracts for NG, SSE, SPEN and the full range of UK DNOs.
Responsibilities
- To produce an effective substation civil design and provide design support on permanent and temporary works as part of the Transmission Design Team.
Qualifications
- B.Eng or BSc in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering, with honours or HND plus relevant experience.
- Sufficient experience on civil and structural substation design with considerable knowledge of National Grid specifications, British Standards, and other UK TNO and DNO design standards.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Power Transmission & Distribution sector or similar.
- Have the ability to self-learn the use of any Civil or Structural engineering software.
