Style Ambassador | Part Time
Joe Browns is a true lifestyle company, which was started in 1998 to offer something more exciting and individual than the other clothing catalogues in the UK. Offering stylish, laid‑back clothing for men and women, plus original gifts and accessories that won’t be found on the High Street, its ethos is that life should be about living for the moment, getting out there and enjoying yourself – and creates clothes to reflect that.
The role
Right now, there is a permanent part‑time Style Ambassador position available at Joe Brown's White Rose store for 16 hours per week. This requires working in a hands‑on and fast‑paced role and carrying out a varied range of duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Spending periods of time standing and/or walking on the shop floor
- Assisting and communicating with customers throughout your shift
- Using tills and digital screens for transactions and store processes
- Handling stock, including lifting and carrying boxes
- Moving stock around the store
- Reaching for stock on the shop floor and within the stockroom
- Using ladders or kick stools safely to access stock
- Preparing stock (including tagging and size cubing), which requires good hand coordination
- Supporting deliveries, stock counts and stock take
- Keeping the store clean, tidy and welcoming (including general cleaning duties such as hoovering, dusting, glass cleaning and waste disposal)
- Working a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and busy seasonal periods (such as Christmas), where occasional late nights or night shifts may be required.
Candidates must also be fully flexible and able to do overtime as and when needed, must have at least 1 year’s experience of working in retail and be able to meet KPIs such as ATV and UPT, and must be over 18 due to late‑night working.
