WE ARE LANDSEC
We identify and shape places that create opportunity, enhance quality of life, and bring joy to the people connected to them.
This is how we've created the UK's leading portfolio of urban places and one of the largest real estate companies in Europe.
Our £10 billion portfolio is built around premium workplaces, the country's pre-eminent retail platform, and a residential pipeline that will redefine urban life.
We've honed this ability over 80 years. Spotting the opportunities, building the partnerships, and continually adapting to shape the places that meet the needs of a changing world.
Places where life happens. Where businesses grow. And where cities are defined.
LOCATION
The role will be based at 80 Victoria Street, London. There will be the need for occasional travel to other retail sites around the country and London Victoria as and when required. As a team, we work collaboratively and are typically based in the office or at our assets four days per week, with occasional opportunities to work from home on Fridays.
THE ROLE
- Our Property Management team supports the day‑to‑day operation and performance of some of the UK's most exciting retail, leisure and mixed‑use destinations. Working closely with occupiers, contractors, service partners and colleagues across Asset Management, Leasing, Operations, Finance and Centre Management, we help create places where brands can thrive and guests can enjoy great experiences. Property Management plays a key role in delivering asset strategies, supporting commercial performance, managing service charges, maintaining compliance and helping our destinations remain attractive, sustainable and successful.
- 3 words to describe the team: collaborative, adaptable, proactive
- As a Property Management Intern, you'll gain exposure to the commercial, operational and financial aspects of managing retail, leisure and mixed‑use destinations. You'll support occupier engagement, service charge management, financial reporting, compliance, leasing administration and project coordination, while developing an understanding of asset performance, data management and how Property Management supports sustainability goals and guest experience across our destinations. This is a great opportunity to build your communication, organisational and analytical skills while gaining a broad introduction to commercial real estate.
- Paid at London Living Wage - £26,936 salary per annum; this is pro‑rate for six‑months (£13,468) with access to employee benefits.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the Property Management team with the day‑to‑day management of a portfolio of retail and mixed‑use assets, helping to coordinate activities and support operational priorities.
- Work with occupiers, contractors, service partners and internal teams to gather information, respond to queries, and support property management initiatives and projects.
- Assist with the maintenance and reporting of property, lease and financial information, including service charge, expenditure and asset performance data, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Support property management processes through inspections, audits, compliance activities and leasing administration, helping to ensure activities are completed in line with agreed processes and industry standards.
- Help monitor actions and coordinate stakeholders across maintenance, refurbishment, sustainability and guest experience initiatives, contributing to the performance and long‑term success of our destinations.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A genuine interest in real estate, property management and how retail and mixed‑use destinations are operated, including the commercial factors that contribute to asset performance and value.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and adapt your approach when working with a range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative and proactive approach with the confidence to ask questions, seek information and work across different teams to solve problems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow processes and balance competing priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with an interest in working with data to support decision‑making.
- A willingness to learn, adapt and take on new challenges. A university degree in any subject may be helpful but is not required, as there are multiple pathways into a career in real estate.
