Job Description:
New & Used Vehicle Preparation Technician – Jaguar Land Rover
Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting a new and used vehicle preparation technician to join our Jaguar Land Rover team based at our site in Hereford. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, including working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (43.5 hours/week).
You will assist in the preparation of new and used vehicles received at Jaguar Land Rover Hereford preparation centre. You will be required to carry out new vehicle PDI\’s and used vehicle multipoint checks, including fitting accessories and routine servicing and maintenance.
We offer an excellent basic salary of £30,000 with an OTE of £39,000 plus benefits.
To be considered, you should have prior experience in a similar role as a fully or part-qualified technician.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections to New and Used cars to Jaguar Land Rover standards.
- Performing mechanical repairs on new and used cars.
- Visually inspecting the exterior and interiors.
- Reporting all defects to factory options.
- Fitting accessories.
- Completing paperwork prior to customer delivery.
- Road testing may be required; a full driving license is essential.
About you:
- Experience in the automotive sector as a vehicle technician, mechanic, HGV mechanic, or similar roles.
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- MOT license is beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving license.
