Land Energy is a sustainable leader within the renewable energy sector, dedicated to helping customers transition away from fossil fuels and reduce their carbon footprint in economically viable ways. As one of the UK’s largest wood pellet manufacturers, we oversee the entire pellet supply chain, sourcing sustainable materials exclusively within the UK. Our pellets offer eco-friendly and high-efficiency fuel solutions, with strict adherence to global sustainability certifications, such as FSC® and Biomass Suppliers' List (BSL). We are honoured to be part of UNESCO's Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Reserve, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship. Logs used in production are sustainably sourced from nearby FSC-certified forests, with continuous replanting to minimize environmental impact.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Girvan, for a Business Excellence Lead. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by analyzing and optimizing existing business processes. You will implement efficiency-focused strategies, support change management, monitor key performance indicators, and standardize best practices while ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Collaboration and cross-functional leadership will be integral components of your daily responsibilities, along with coaching teams to achieve excellence in operational execution.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement the overall Business Excellence strategy, aligning it with business goals, and creating roadmaps for change.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, process mapping, and automation to remove waste and improve efficiency.
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, analyse operational/financial data, and report on performance to senior leadership.
- Leadership & Culture: Coach teams, mentor staff, and champion a sustainable culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, tech, operations, and other teams to identify opportunities and execute changes.
- Change Management: Guide complex organizational changes, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale change and improvement projects.
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS).
