About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SC Cleared Security Officer to support our client across their sites in Chippenham, Bristol and Gloucester. This is a temporary 2–3-month contract, with an intended start date of 1st September 2026, subject to successful validation of the required SC clearance. The successful SC Cleared Security Officer will play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and professional environment across the client's sites.

As an SC Cleared Security Officer, you will provide a visible security presence, monitor access to the premises and ensure all relevant security procedures are followed. You will work closely with site personnel, visitors, contractors and other security staff to maintain high standards of security throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and highly visible security presence across the client's sites in Chippenham, Bristol and Gloucester.
  • Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring staff, visitors and contractors are appropriately authorised before entering secure areas.
  • Carry out regular internal and external security patrols, remaining alert to potential risks, hazards, suspicious activity or breaches of security.
  • Monitor CCTV and other security systems where required and respond appropriately to security concerns, incidents and emergencies.
  • Escalate incidents to the relevant personnel and follow all established site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate security records, including incident reports, visitor information, patrol records and shift handovers.
  • Ensure important information is communicated clearly to colleagues and incoming security personnel.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable manner when dealing with staff, visitors and contractors, while remaining vigilant and security-conscious throughout each shift.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an SC Cleared Security Officer with previous experience working within a professional security environment and a strong understanding of confidentiality, vigilance and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual and professional, with the ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with security incidents or unexpected situations. Previous experience working within government, defence, MOD, critical infrastructure or other security-sensitive environments would be advantageous.

  • Valid SIA Licence – essential
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar security position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, reliable and security-conscious approach.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week.
  • Flexibility to work across Chippenham, Bristol and Gloucester.
