We are recruiting experienced Industrial Painters, Industrial Blasters and Sprayers for ongoing work in Barrow-in-Furness.

Role & Requirements

We are looking for experienced Industrial Painters with a strong background in industrial painting, coating and surface preparation.

  • MUST already hold valid SC Security Clearance
  • Must have been born in the UK
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Painter
  • Experience in industrial painting, blasting and/or spraying
  • Relevant industrial painting qualifications/certifications preferred
  • Ability to work a 12 days on / 2 days off rotation
  • Reliable and able to work overtime when required
  • PAYE Hourly Rates
  • Basic: £17.64 per hour
  • Night Shift: £26.73 per hour
  • Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm, with OT1 after these hours
  • Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm, with OT1 after 12:30pm
  • Saturday: First 4 hours at OT1, remaining hours at OT2
  • Sunday: OT2 for all hours worked
  • Travel & Accommodation Allowance

Candidates living more than 45 miles from site may be eligible for

  • Travel Allowance: £50.00 per week
  • Accommodation Allowance: £367.50 per week

Proof of address will be required.

To receive the full weekly allowances, you must complete the full 12 days on / 2 days off rotation.

Week 1 – 7 days worked

  • Monday–Thursday: 8.5 basic hours per day
  • Friday: 5 basic hours
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8 hours per day

Week 2 – 5 days worked

  • Monday–Thursday: 8.5 basic hours per day
  • Friday: 5 basic hours

If you have sickness, unauthorised absence, or take more than one day of annual leave during the rotation, allowances will reduce to:

  • Travel: £7.14 per shift worked
  • Accommodation: £52.50 per shift worked

There are no exceptions to this policy.

  • Holiday year runs from January to December
  • Includes Bank Holidays
