We are looking for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to temporarily join our Finance team for our Power Systems Business Unit in Daventry, United Kingdom.

In this role good knowledge of Excel is required.

Knowledge of Oracle, Power BI en Power Query would be preferred but is not mandatory

In this role, the focus will be on:

β€’ Lease Accounting Mastery: By owning in-depth lease accounting, you'll ensure accurate day-to-day maintenance and successful quarterly audits.

β€’ Payroll Execution: Handling payroll activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting, will ensure smooth and accurate payroll processes.

β€’ Corporate Reporting: Completing monthly and quarterly corporate reports in Financial Close Manager will keep stakeholders informed and support strategic planning.

Additional responsibilities:

β€’ PSA Return Preparation: Your detailed preparation of the PAYE settlement agreement (PSA) return will ensure compliance and accuracy.

β€’ PII Variance Analysis: Analyzing and reporting monthly Profit in Inventory (PII) variances will provide valuable insights into financial decision-making.

β€’ Kent Site Financial Management: Managing the entire close-the-books process for the Kent site, including review file preparation and submission, will ensure financial accuracy and completeness.

β€’ Balance Sheet Reviews: Preparing and presenting Balance Sheet reviews during month-end close meetings will highlight key financial metrics and support informed decision-making.

β€’ Annual Tax Pack Preparation: Preparing the annual Tax Pack for Daventry and Kent will ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

β€’ Understand Financial Regulations: Stay updated on relevant regulations (tax, banking, pension, local accounting) to ensure compliance. Educate stakeholders on key requirements and implications for the business.

β€’ Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate financial results and conclusions to all stakeholders, ensuring they understand the financial impact and necessary actions.

β€’ Proficient in Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to stakeholders to drive

business improvements and ensure data integrity by investigating and resolving variances.

β€’ Enhance Financial Internal Controls: Assess and develop internal control frameworks to mitigate financial reporting risks. Create remediation plans to adapt to changing business needs.
