Key Responsibilities
- Internal Communications
- Draft and edit internal communications including leader notes, employee announcements, and change-related updates.
- Adapt global content for local and regional relevance where appropriate.
- Format, schedule, and publish communications across internal channels including email, intranet, and collaboration platforms.
- Act as a connector between Internal Communications and other Communications teams to support message consistency.
- Provide execution support for major regional events and high-volume periods when multiple team members are out.
- Public Relations & External Communications
- Support senior PR leaders in the development and execution of media relations and product PR programmes for the client.
- Assist with proactive media engagement including reporter research, media list development, pitch materials, and follow-ups.
- Draft and edit press releases, media briefs, talking points, bylines, and Q&A documents in line with agreed approval processes.
- Support preparation for executive media interviews, conferences, awards, and industry events, including briefing materials and logistics.
- Coordinate with external PR agencies to track deliverables, manage reviews and approvals, and support campaign execution.
- Monitor media coverage and industry developments; prepare coverage summaries, issue alerts, and peer insights.
- Support issues and reputation management through research, drafting rapid-response materials, and internal coordination.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with colleagues across Communications, Marketing, Public Policy, and regional business leaders to support integrated delivery.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
- Support tracking, reporting, documentation, and handovers throughout the maternity cover period.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications
- 7–10 years’ experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience spanning both internal communications and external communications / PR strongly preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills across a range of audiences and channels.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Collaborative, execution-focused, and reliable approach.
- Financial services or other regulated-industry experience is desirable. In-house and/or agency experience is welcomed.
