Logistics Specialist
Duration
12 months (PAYE-Contract)
Responsibilities
- Assist development of EPC Project Logistics Plan (Shipment lookahead, risks, strategy).
- Coordinate and lead regular shipment rhythms on progress.
- Optimise planning to reduce shipment volume, increase consolidation and reduce freight spend (MOT shift, contract vs spot).
- Strong coordination with interfacing roles in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Projects & Materials.
- Support monthly cost feedback on Logistics spend (Inbound & Outbound).
- Customer point of contact on all EPC Project Logistics related matters.
- Verify / Complete import & export documentation, records & registers in accordance with local customs compliance requirements.
- Compliantly moving goods, whilst adhering to all policies, International Trade compliance, HMRC and Customs regulations always.
- Supporting the Logistics lead in Loadouts, arranging Kick‑off meetings, aligning all parties, controlling the flow of information and enabling collaboration throughout the process to successfully load out projects on time.
- Join and participate in all Logistic meetings.
- Loading transport requests into our freight system.
- Escalation point for NOR requests arranged via Requestor, Supplier and Logistics 4PL.
- Sourcing the most cost effective and efficient logistic solution to the transportation request.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must have a good understanding of Incoterms and strong knowledge of international logistics.
- Preferred understanding Duties and Tariffs.
- Good problem‑solving skills, sound judgment, initiative and creativity.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and organizational skills.
- Individual must be a self‑starter, creative and clear thinker.
- Training will be given with Logistic systems.
